Best of the Best Culinary Awards 2009

The Best of the Best Culinary Awards is one of the well-recognized grand event among the culinary trade in Hong Kong with aim to encourage creativity in Hong Kong culinary arena and nurture local talents while promoting Hong Kong as Asia’s world city and the ultimate culinary destination.

This year, Lee Kum Kee (Hong Kong) Ltd. will support  this big event as sponsor. The Chinese Cuisine Training Institute is the organizer while supporting by the Hospitality Industry Training and Development Centre and the Hong Kong Tourism Board.

Four different dish categories are chosen to highlight the diversity of Chinese cuisines this year, include “Vegetarian Diet”, “Dim Sum”, “Seafood” and “Pork”.  Each category will have “Gold with Distinction Award” , “Gold Award”, “Silver Award” to attract Hong Kong licensed restaurants to participate.

Final competition will be held on 29-30 September at the Chinese Cuisine Training Institute, while the preliminary competition will be held during 14-17 September.

A dinning brochure will be published after contest to list all winning dishes and restaurants as part of the rewards package.  In addition, TV infomercial will be arranged to report the competition. Winners will also have chance to demonstrate their signature cooking skill in events of  “Hong Kong Food and Wine” organized by the Hong Kong Tourism Board in October 2009.
